Softball Recap: Farwell Wins Going Away Against Marion

Marion typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Farwell proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on Marion with a sharp 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for Farwell, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Farwell's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ava Darnell, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Allena Wunderlich was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

Farwell now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Marion, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Farwell beat Marion by a score of 15-5 later that day.
