Softball Recap: Southwood Knights vs. Northfield Norsemen

Southwood won against Maconaquah last Monday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Southwood Knights came out on top against the Northfield Norsemen by a score of 10-5. Winning may never get old, but Southwood sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Madi Culver spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Grace Lambert was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lili Combs, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

On Northfield's side, Bella Myers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Myers is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. Jaycie Krom was another key contributor, going 1-for-4 with three RBI.
