Basketball Recap: Harmony Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Harmony Longhorns didn't have quite enough to beat the Altamonte Christian Eagles and fell 54-52. That's two games in a row now that the Longhorns have lost by exactly two points.

Altamonte Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tre Jones led the charge by as he made all 5 shots he took to post 11 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ryan Almeda, who posted 11 points and six steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Harmony and nudges their season record down to 9-6. As for Altamonte Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.

Harmony will host St. Cloud at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Cloud knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Harmony likes a good challenge. As for Altamonte Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-40 victory against Holy Cross Lutheran Academy on the 9th.
