Softball Game Preview: Sierra Chieftains vs. Coalinga Horned Toads

The Sierra Chieftains will square off against the Coalinga Horned Toads at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Sierra came up short against McLane on Friday, falling 14-5. The Chieftains have struggled against the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Naliyah Gibson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloie Benson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Coalinga fell victim to Edison and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Coalinga's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sierra, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
