Recap: Aynor Blue Jackets vs. Green Sea Floyds Trojans
If the Aynor Blue Jackets were riding high off their 51-26 takedown of the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Aynor fell to Green Sea Floyds 46-42. Aynor was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Green Sea Floyds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Blue Jackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayden Holden, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Austin Tanyika, who scored 6 points.
Aynor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Green Sea Floyds, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Aynor's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Latta at 7:45 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Latta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday. Green Sea Floyds' road trip will continue as they head out to face Johnsonville at 7:45 p.m. on December 11th.
