Basketball Game Preview: Southaven Chargers vs. Horn Lake Eagles

The Southaven Chargers will take on the Horn Lake Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southaven has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while Horn Lake will come in with three straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Southaven was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-48 to Lewisburg.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Horn Lake). They walked away with an 83-70 victory over Oxford on Tuesday.

Horn Lake pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Southaven, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Southaven didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Horn Lake in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 79-75 victory. Will Southaven repeat their success, or does Horn Lake have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
