Basketball Recap: Our Lady of Mercy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mount St. Mary Academy last Saturday, Our Lady of Mercy came back down to earth. The contest between the Our Lady of Mercy Monarchs and the Aquinas Institute Little Irish didn't end well, with the Our Lady of Mercy Monarchs falling 72-58. The Monarchs have struggled against the Little Irish recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Our Lady of Mercy's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Aquinas Institute, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Our Lady of Mercy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aquinas Institute, they will challenge Bishop Kearney at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Aquinas Institute knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 matchups -- so hopefully Bishop Kearney likes a good challenge.
