Basketball Recap: Keller Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Keller Central extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were outmatched by the Lake Ridge Eagles and fell 68-41. The Chargers lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 76-73 score last time.

As for Lake Ridge, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games.

Lake Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Johnathan Rodriguez led the charge by shooting 55% from the field on his way to 17 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Onie Lewis, who posted nine points and five steals.

Looking ahead, Keller Central will take on Mansfield Legacy at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Ridge, they will face off against Aldine at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
