The MacArthur Mammoths will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Roosevelt Roughriders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. MacArthur's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

MacArthur is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Jackson-Reed, who was ranked second at the time (MacArthur was ranked 19th). The Mammoths lost 11-1 to the Tigers on Wednesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as MacArthur were already down 5-0.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Roosevelt brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Everything went their way against McKinley Tech on Wednesday as they made off with a 4-1 win. The victory continues a trend for Roosevelt in their matchups with McKinley Tech: they've now won five in a row.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for MacArthur, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-5.
