Soccer Recap: St. Patrick Plays Ranked Contest

St. Patrick faced Madison Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Neither the Fighting Irish nor the Jaguars could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept St. Patrick happy, as they haven't lost a game since November 11th.

With that draw, St. Patrick's record moves to 8-4-3. Meanwhile, Madison Central's record is now 8-4-1.

St. Patrick and Madison Central will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Fighting Irish see the pitch they'll take on Resurrection Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2026. As for Madison Central, their break will end when they face Starkville at 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 2026.
