Pacifica is 0-10 against Oxnard since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Pacifica Tritons will look to defend their home field against the Oxnard Yellowjackets at 3:15 p.m. Pacifica is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.5 runs per game this season.

Last Saturday, Pacifica got the win against Santa Clara by a conclusive 14-4.

Dimyla Aupiu was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Melissa Garcia, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Pacifica always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Clara only posted an OBP of .292.

Meanwhile, Oxnard came out on top against Chaminade on Saturday by a score of 9-5 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

The team relied heavily on Natalie Rodarte, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Layla Mukul was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Oxnard's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Pacifica, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pacifica hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .468. However, it's not like Oxnard struggles in that department as they've averaged .387. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
