Basketball Recap: Miller School of Albemarle Takes a Loss

Miller School of Albemarle fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Carlisle on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 68-56 to the Carlisle Chiefs. The Mavericks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 43-37.

Carlisle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenzie Board led the charge by putting up 21 points. The contest was Board's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ja'La Niblett, who posted 20 points.

Miller School of Albemarle's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Carlisle, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.

Miller School of Albemarle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carlisle, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against The Covenant at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
