Basketball Recap: Prairie du Chien Takes a Loss

Prairie du Chien was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waukon Indians. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 447th in Wisconsin, while the Indians are ranked 178th in Iowa).

Prairie du Chien's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Waukon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie du Chien has already played their next matchup (against River Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Waukon is taking a road trip to take on New Hampton at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for New Hampton: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Waukon has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
