Basketball Recap: St. Clairsville's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

St. Clairsville came into Tuesday's contest having lost 16 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down the Brooke Bruins 41-24 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Red Devils' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 722nd in Ohio, while the Bruins are ranked 112th in West Virginia).

St. Clairsville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-13. As for Brooke, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

St. Clairsville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-20 defeat against Martins Ferry on the 24th. As for Brooke, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-30 loss against Edison on the 23rd.
