Basketball Preview: Sturgis Trojans vs. Harper Creek Beavers
The Sturgis Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Harper Creek Beavers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Sturgis has not done well against the Trojans recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Sturgis blew past the Trojans, posting a 65-35 win at home. That looming 65-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Sturgis yet this season.
Harper Creek can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game last Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 43-42 victory over Marshall.
Sturgis' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Harper Creek, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
