Homestead had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.8 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They snuck past the Carmel Greyhounds with a 61-56 win. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Greyhounds are ranked 37th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Homestead is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Carmel, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-11.
