Basketball Game Preview: Brentwood War Eagles vs. Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers

The Brentwood War Eagles and the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Brentwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season.

Brentwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Trinity Christian by a score of 48-40.

Brentwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bailey Barron, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Barron continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cadence English, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 boards.

Brentwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 11 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Central Fellowship Christian Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Gators 47-45. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Gators are ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central Fellowship Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Brentwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Brentwood barely slipped by Central Fellowship Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January, winning 65-64. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brentwood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
