Basketball Game Preview: Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue vs. New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners

The Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue will take on the New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Roy/Mosquero will be strutting in after a win while New Mexico School for the Deaf will be coming in after a loss.

Roy/Mosquero took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They rang in the new year with a 47-37 victory over Grady.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, New Mexico School for the Deaf's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by Maxwell 82-43. While losing is never fun, the Roadrunners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Bears are ranked 31st).

The win got Roy/Mosquero back to even at 5-5. As for New Mexico School for the Deaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
