Basketball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They fell 46-34 to the Goddard Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-25 back in January.

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Goddard, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Goddard beat Newton by a score of 46-34 on Tuesday.
