Basketball Recap: Fairfield's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Fairfield can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past the Brewer Bears with a 54-49 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1063rd, while the Bears are ranked 486th).

Fairfield's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Brewer, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-10 record.

Fairfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-69 defeat against Connally on the 14th. As for Brewer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 50-30 victory against Decatur on the 14th.
