Baseball Recap: Weaver Takes a Loss

Weaver was the 16-9 winner over University when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Beavers came up short against the Hawks on Monday, falling 9-1. The Beavers just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Weaver saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Troy Sullivan, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Weaver's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for University, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weaver will host Academy of Science and Innovation at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Beavers are facing the Ravens at the right time seeing as the Ravens are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for University, they will be playing at home against Goodwin RVT at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
