Whitewright's tournament run continued when they took on Cumby on Saturday. Whitewright enjoyed a cozy 65-47 win over Cumby.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Sam Rayburn's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against Gainesville, falling 61-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rebels have suffered since November 30, 2023.

Sam Rayburn's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Whitewright, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.

Whitewright was taken down by Sam Rayburn 61-16 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Whitewright was down 31-9.
