Volleyball Recap: Pueblo West Has No Trouble Against Liberty

Pueblo West's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Liberty Lancers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won five in a row.

Pueblo West walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-14.

Rylee Lambert paced Pueblo West's offense, picking up 16 kills. Lambert got some help from Joie Johnson and her 21 assists. Lambert was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Pueblo West's record is now 11-2. As for Liberty, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pueblo West is set to challenge their familiar foe Vista Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Liberty will square off against rival Doherty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
