Baseball Game Preview: Middletown Middies vs. Oak Hills Highlanders

Middletown is 2-8 against Oak Hills since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Middies will take on the Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. Middletown has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Middletown is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 13-0 to Princeton.

Meanwhile, Oak Hills wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Wil Kraus was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-4. Cooper Harrison also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Oak Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Middletown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.

Middletown suffered a grim 25-1 defeat to Oak Hills in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Middies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
