Baseball Recap: Chenango Valley Finds Home Field Redemption Against Seton Catholic Central

There's no place like home for Chenango Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Seton Catholic Central Saints on Friday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since April 9th.

Jimmy Fitzgerald spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Chenango Valley is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-7 otherwise.

Chenango Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Seton Catholic Central, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
