Softball Recap: Mary Star of the Sea Comes Up Short

Mary Star of the Sea was the 10-0 winner over Bishop Conaty-Loretto when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Stars took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Monday. The Stars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amaree Arellano was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Maris Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Mary Star of the Sea's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Bishop Conaty-Loretto, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mary Star of the Sea will host Serra at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stars are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Bishop Conaty-Loretto, they will welcome Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
