Softball Recap: Castilleja Comes Up Short

Castilleja extended their losing streak to ten on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 2-12 in the process. They came up short against the Notre Dame Regents, falling 14-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Regents this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-6 back in March.

As for Notre Dame, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-9. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.5 runs.

For Notre Dame's part, they got a massive performance out of Kamille Beals, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Alex Vera was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

As of now, neither Castilleja nor Notre Dame have any future games scheduled.
