Basketball Recap: Wheaton-Warrenville South Beats Wheaton North for Their Third Straight Win

Wheaton-Warrenville South had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Wheaton North Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 58-41. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-49 back in December of 2024.

Wheaton-Warrenville South pushed their record up to 19-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Wheaton North, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Looking ahead, Wheaton-Warrenville South and Sterling will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Wheaton North, they will welcome Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
