Volleyball Recap: Bryan Has No Trouble Against Van Wert

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Catholic, Bryan was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Van Wert Cougars 3-0. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Golden Bears yet this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bryan was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-10, 25-10.

Bryan found their leader in sophomore Reese Ruffer, who had five digs and four aces. Miley Mason also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

With the victory, Bryan broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 6-13. As for Van Wert, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Looking ahead, Bryan will head out on the road to challenge Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Van Wert, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Jefferson on the 29th.
