Soccer Recap: Wellington Gets the Win

Wellington proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Lake Center Christian Tiger 4-3. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Wellington were the better team in the second half.

They hit Lake Center Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Braedon McCann (2), Baptiste Fontaine, and Reece Leiby.

Wellington's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Lake Center Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-2.

Coming up, Wellington will head out on the road to square off against Kirtland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Center Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
