Baseball Recap: Box Elder Takes a Loss

Box Elder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Bountiful RedHawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the RedHawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 last Friday.

Box Elder saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Korbin Jeppesen, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Box Elder's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Bountiful, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Box Elder is set to face off against their familiar foe Roy at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bountiful will take on rival Northridge at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
