Softball Preview: Christian Community Colts vs. Riverside Christian Academy
The Christian Community Colts will head out on the road to challenge Riverside Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Christian Community is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Christian Community can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They put the hurt on St. Cecilia Academy with a sharp 15-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Christian Community.
Riley Tate made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Tate was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Christian Community got a massive performance out of Maddi Smith, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lily Duvall, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, a triple, and a run.
