Recap: Odyssey Charter School Titans vs. Astronaut War Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pine, the Odyssey Charter School Titans were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They secured a 36-31 W over Astronaut. This was payback for Odyssey Charter School, who suffered a 35-27 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Odyssey Charter School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Natalia DeJesus-Bruno led the charge by scoring nine points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christiana Patterson, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Odyssey Charter School's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Astronaut, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Odyssey Charter School will take on John Carroll Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Astronaut won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Merritt Island at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Merritt Island is ranked 615th, while Astronaut is ranked 622nd).
