Volleyball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Cardinal Newman Cardinals. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Lexington was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cardinal Newman, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Lexington and Cardinal Newman will both be playing Clover the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will head out to face the Blue Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
