Recap: Charles J. Colgan Sharks vs. Westfield Bulldogs
It was a good run, but the Charles J. Colgan Sharks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Westfield by a score of 38-35.
Several Sharks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brianna Long, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Long's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Amaya Thrash, who scored nine points.
Charles J. Colgan's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Westfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Charles J. Colgan and Stone Bridge will face off at 4:45 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Westfield won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Potomac at 6:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023. West Potomac knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Westfield likes a good challenge.
