Recap: Rock Church Lions vs. StoneBridge Cavaliers

The Rock Church Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against StoneBridge on Friday as Rock Church made off with a 72-52 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rock Church also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.

Rock Church's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Williams led the charge by dropping a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was Williams' ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Johnson, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds.

The victory makes it two in a row for Rock Church and bumps their season record up to 7-3. As for StoneBridge, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Rock Church's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bethel Assembly Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 8th. Bethel Assembly Christian Academy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 10. As for StoneBridge, they will be playing at home against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Greenbrier Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday.
