Baseball Recap: Liberal Takes a Loss

Liberal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Eisenhower Tigers. The Redskins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Kye Morris was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Morris wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Blayden Betts, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Betts has hit this season.

Liberal now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Eisenhower, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

While Liberal had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
