Softball Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Bethel-Tate Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the G-Men of the 8-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Chloe Inlow was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

Georgetown's record is now 1-8. As for Bethel-Tate, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgetown will square off against Blanchester at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The G-Men's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Bethel-Tate, they will take on Fayetteville-Perry at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
