Baseball Recap: Randallstown Rams vs. Eastern Tech Mavericks
Randallstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eastern Tech Mavericks. One positive for the Rams, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Chris Ross was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed seven innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Ross was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Terence Venable and Elijah Lee stepped up to the plate in a big way. Venable scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Lee scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave Venable a new career-high. Keith Mcknight was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Randallstown's record is now 1-4. As for Eastern Tech, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coming up, Randallstown will head out to take on Dundalk at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Randallstown is facing Dundalk at the right time seeing as Dundalk is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Eastern Tech, they will welcome Hereford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
