Flag Football Game Preview: San Pasqual Golden Eagles vs. Canyon Hills Rattlers

The San Pasqual Golden Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Canyon Hills Rattlers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Monday, San Pasqual had to suffer through a 34-6 loss at the hands of Escondido.

Despite the loss, San Pasqual got top-tier performance from Ruby Cortez, who rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Canyon Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were beaten by Kearny 45-0. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 756th, while the Komets are ranked 362nd).

Canyon Hills' loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for San Pasqual, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

San Pasqual came out on top in a nail-biter against Canyon Hills in their previous matchup back in August, sneaking past 18-15. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
