Softball Game Preview: Clyde Fliers vs. Bellevue Redmen

The Clyde Fliers will head out to take on the Bellevue Redmen at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Clyde will be strutting in after a victory while Bellevue will be coming in after a loss.

Clyde was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Columbian on Wednesday. The Fliers blew past the Tornadoes 11-2. The Fliers haven't had any issues with the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Bellevue might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Norwalk who claimed the real prize. The Redmen fell just short of the Truckers by a score of 4-3. The Redmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chloe Easterwood was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. MyahAnn Reesman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Clyde now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Bellevue, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Everything went Clyde's way against Bellevue when the teams last played back in April, as Clyde made off with a 6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fliers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
