Basketball Game Preview: McDonell Central Macks vs. Colfax Vikings

The McDonell Central Macks will square off against the Colfax Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.

Last Thursday, McDonell Central lost to Fall Creek on the road by a 45-31 margin. The Macks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Colfax entered their tilt with Glenwood City on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their game with ease, bagging a 70-31 victory over the Hilltoppers. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

McDonell Central's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-6. As for Colfax, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

McDonell Central was able to grind out a solid win over Colfax when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 54-42. Does McDonell Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Colfax turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
