Simla came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Calhan Bulldogs 19-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Saturday.

Wyatt Stanko was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in ten consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Simla is undefeated when Stanko posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

In other pitching news, Caston Cox looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Simla let T.J. Eurich and Taylor Kissam run wild. Eurich went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and four runs, while Kissam went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave Kissam a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ethan Kissam, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Simla kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.

Simla pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Calhan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12-2 record this season.

Simla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calhan, they will host Crowley County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
