New Castle entered their tilt with North Central on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since October 17, 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was New Castle who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 19-17.

Cadence Armacost paced New Castle's offense, picking up 14 kills. Armacost got some help from Elysah Williams and her 16 assists.

New Castle's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for North Central, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

New Castle has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Perry Meridian on the 6th. As for North Central, they are taking a road trip to take on Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
