Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wadena-Deer Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Bertha-Hewitt with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolverines as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Wadena-Deer Creek's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Barnesville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
