Volleyball Recap: Pembroke Pines Charter Comes Up Short

Pembroke Pines Charter and Lourdes Academy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Pembroke Pines Charter had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to Lourdes Academy. The Jaguars have struggled against Lourdes Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-10, 25-10.

Leading Lourdes Academy to victory were Lily Garcia and Jenna Acosta. Garcia had six digs and three aces, while Acosta had 15 assists.

Pembroke Pines Charter's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Lourdes Academy, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-5.

Pembroke Pines Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lourdes Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gulf Coast at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
