Huntland is 9-1 against Fayetteville since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hornets will challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Huntland is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Huntland came up short against Eagleville and fell 7-4.

Meanwhile, Fayetteville fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Moore County on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 7-6. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fayetteville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Preston Atchley, who went 1-for-5 with one double.

Huntland's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Fayetteville, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Huntland came out on top in a nail-biter against Fayetteville in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 11-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
