Baseball Recap: Sleepy Hollow Comes Up Short

Sleepy Hollow managed to slip by Port Chester the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Horsemen came up short against the Rams on Saturday, falling 13-5. The Horsemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Sleepy Hollow dropped their record down to 7-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Port Chester, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Coming up, Sleepy Hollow will welcome Gorton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.38 runs per game on average), something the Horsemen will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Port Chester, they will head out on the road to face off against Mamaroneck at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
