Basketball Recap: Eileen Roach's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Atlantic City over Holy Spirit

Atlantic City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 50-33 to the Holy Spirit Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-44 back in January.

Atlantic City lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Eileen Roach, who posted nine points and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two). Taison Parker was another key player, putting up ten points.

Atlantic City's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Holy Spirit, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Atlantic City has already played their next contest (against Cedar Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Holy Spirit does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
