Volleyball Recap: Stratford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Stratford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Lucy Beckham Bengals, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bengals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Stratford took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Caroline Kennedy, who had six digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last five matchups. Wells Burnett also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 7-10-1. As for Lucy Beckham, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Coincidentally, Stratford and Lucy Beckham will both be playing Cane Bay the next time they take the court. The Bengals will head out to face the Cobras at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
